How to Add/Remove the Passcode on Zoom Cloud Recordings

How to Manage your Cloud Recording Security and Access Restriction

Introduction

As a layer of protection, Zoom allows users to protect access to Cloud Recordings by adding a passcode or restricting access only to SSO-authenticated users.

Adding/Removing Passcode to Cloud Recording

In order to add/remove passcode, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Visit yorku.zoom.us
  2. Click Recordings
  3. Click Share next to the desired Recording
  4. An options window will appear. On the options window, under Share this Recording, you may select Publicly (which is the option that does not require SSO Authentication), or you may select Only Authenticated Users (which is the option that requires SSO authentication).
  5. If you wish to add passcode protection as well, please ensure that Passcode Protection is enabled (switch should be turned on). Once the switch is on, you may enter the desired passcode.
